When my family decided to try reducing animal protein in favor of more plant protein, we needed a good burger alternative. After some tinkering, this one fit the bill. I experimented with technique as I wanted a version I could make without breaking out all the kitchen equipment like processors. This one comes together with a nice meat-like texture using only a simple potato masher, available at most grocery stores. The recipe also gave us one more satisfying way to use tempeh. The kids even like these on a bun with cheese and toppings like the real deal.
